Under the 2021 No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate outlining the expected cost if you are paying privately for therapy.

This page seeks to provide transparency around the financial aspects of our work together. Therapy is a flexible, evolving process, and conversations about sustainability can occur as needed.

What You Can Expect

Before therapy begins, a written Good Faith Estimate will be provided outlining the anticipated cost of services.

This estimate is based on the standard fee and an anticipated range of sessions. However, therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process. The actual number of sessions will depend on individual needs, preferences, and circumstances. Therapy may be continued, paused, or concluded at any time.

Standard Fee Information

Standard Session Length:
60 minutes

Standard Session Fee:
$180 per session

Any changes to session length, frequency, or cost will be discussed collaboratively in advance.

Estimated Costs

To offer a general sense of potential costs, below are examples based on my standard fee of $180 per session.

If a different fee has been agreed upon, your written Good Faith Estimate will reflect that accordingly.

  • 10 sessions at $180 = $1,800
  • 20 sessions at $180 = $3,600
  • 30 sessions at $180 = $5,400
  • 40 sessions at $180 = $7,200
  • 50 sessions at $180 = $9,000

These are estimates only. Therapy is a flexible and collaborative process, and the number of sessions may be more or fewer depending on needs and circumstances.

Your Rights

If the cost of services ever exceeds your Good Faith Estimate by $400 or more, you have the right to dispute the bill.

Additional Notes

The Good Faith Estimate is not a contract and does not obligate participation in a certain number of sessions. Therapy can be shaped based on what feels meaningful and sustainable.
